Collaboration

Collaborating for mountain bongo conservation

A Unified Approach

The Ragat Chehe Mountain Bongo Trust works through a strong collaborative framework that brings together a range of dedicated partners and stakeholders. The Joint Site Committee provides overall coordination and oversight to ensure that conservation efforts are effectively implemented on the ground.

The National Bongo Task Force and the Expert Advisory Committee contribute technical guidance, scientific expertise, and strategic direction to support the recovery of the critically endangered mountain bongo.

Collaboration with Community Forest Associations ensures that local communities remain at the heart of conservation, promoting sustainable livelihoods and stewardship of forest ecosystems. Close engagement with county governments strengthens policy alignment, resource mobilization, and long-term conservation planning.

Together, these partnerships form a unified approach to protecting the mountain bongo and preserving the unique biodiversity of the Ragat Chehe landscape.
